I loved the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede Vineyard. This complex, nuanced beauty boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as awesome notes of spiced currants, tobacco, new leather, dried herbs, lead pencil, and flowers. Tasting like a solid Pauillac, it's medium to full-bodied and has considerable elegance, fine tannins, and a great finish. It's going to keep for 20 years or so.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede Vineyard is a powerful, savory wine that is going to need a few years in bottle to soften. Crushed rocks, gravel, smoke, tobacco and grilled herbs all open in the glass. A wine of serious intensity, the Ganymede is also one of the most reticent Cabernets in this range. There is plenty to look forward to, for readers who can be patient.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede bursts from the glass with vivacious scents of black raspberries, black currant pastilles and Morello cherries plus hints of pencil lead, cloves, Indian spices and truffles. The full-bodied palate is packed with bright black and red fruits, framed by a grainy texture and loads of freshness, finishing long and spicy.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede Vineyard is, once again, super expressive. Floral, savory and mineral notes give the 2018 striking energy and tension, which works beautifully to balance the natural richness of the fruit. A wine of delineation and cut, the 2018 is wonderfully focused from start to finish. I very much like the sense of vibrancy here.
