2014 Earthquake - Zinfandel

Contains 13% Petite Sirah. Fairly sandy soils. 60% aged 14 months with American oak, 40% aged 10 months with French oak – mainly chips. They add water to very ripe grapes before fermentation, 30,000 cases made. Named after a famous vineyard. RS 5g/l – a popular style! Very bright crimson. Well-integrated nose. Very sweet start and polished tannins with quite strong oak influence. (JR)
