Brilliant ruby. Sexy, high-pitched red berry and floral pastille scents are complicated by suggestions of Asian spices and smoky minerals. Shows a Pinot-like lightness of touch, offering sharply focused raspberry and cherry flavors that deepen and sweeten with air. Smooth tannins add gentle grip to this distinctly suave and seamless blend.

The 2013 Sticks and Stones has matured beautifully, showing a more savory and darkly alluring profile that mixes dusty blackcurrant with grilled herbs and ashen stones. The nose is wonderfully fresh and lifted, offering dark red berry fruit, sage and violet. A pleasantly bitter twang lingers on the finish, with a hint of fine tannin and outstanding length.
