2019 Franz Hirtzberger - Gruner Veltliner Axpoint Smaragd

From a pure and deep loess terroir, the 2019 Ried Axpoint Grüner Veltliner Smaragd offers a charmingly fruity but refined bouquet of chalk and ripe white seed fruits. Refined and stimulatingly salty on the palate, this is a rich but elegant, well-balanced and more fruity styled Veltliner that reflects its loess terroi brilliantly. There are ripe pear aromas on the finish. 13.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in June 2021.
