Mid garnet. Very low-key nose but the suggestion of good balance underneath. Sweet, gentle start is absolutely innocuous but is overall a little light. That said, it would please classicists and is not overpriced. GV (JR)

Full bottle 1,302 g. Looks mature. Sweet start and a little bit of char on the end. I think there are much better value red bordeaux out there.... This is ageing quite fast. (JR)

The 2015 Lacoste-Borie has a rather herbal bouquet with pencil shaving and smoke aromas, perhaps needing a little more flesh to come through. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip. A nicely structured wine, with more breeding on the palate than on the nose. If the aromatics can improve this might turn out to be a fine 2015. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Tasted blind. Mid ruby. Spicy, fairly attractive nose. But pretty simple on the palate. Merlot sweepings? Inky finish. (JR)
