2015 Olivier and Lafont Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes

Deep ruby. A complex, expansive bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruits, licorice, garrigue and smoky Indian spices. Fleshy and broad on entry and then tighter in the middle, offering sweet black raspberry and lavender pastille flavors that are given spine by a core of juicy acidity. Shows excellent focus and mineral bite on the youthfully tannic, persistent finish, which emphatically echoes the floral and red fruit notes.
