Note di degustazione
Just about perfection in a glass, the monumental 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from this Diamond Mountain estate has everything you could want from a mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. It sports a deep purple color as a powerful bouquet of blackberries, plums, incense, scorched earth, damp herbs, and a hint of mint. Incredibly full-bodied and deep, with a profound texture, layers of silky tannins, no hard edges, and a finish that won’t quit, this magical wine will most likely merit a triple-digit score in 4-5 years and keep for more than three decades.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored and opens with bold notes of preserved plums, crème de cassis, black cherries preserves and spice cake with touches of fruitcake, potpourri and yeast extract plus a waft of cigar box. The palate is big, rich, opulent and seductive with firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and layered. A true hedonist’s wine!
The 2015 The Vineyardist is even better from bottle than it was from barrel. Inky, deep and voluptuous in the glass, the 2015 screams with personality. Unctuous and flamboyant to its core, this exotic, full-throttle Cabernet Sauvignon exudes character from start to finish. Inky blue/purplish fruit, spice, lavender and violet meld into the dramatic, alluring finish. What a wine!
Inky and explosive to the core, the 2015 The Vineyardist possesses striking intensity. Crème de cassis, lavender and mint envelope the palate as this flamboyant wine shows off its personality. The tannins are pretty much buried by the sheer opulence of the fruit. A thrilling wine, the 2015 is shaping up to be a real gem.
