Note di degustazione
The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a lively bouquet, well-defined with yellow plum, Mirabelle and hints of jasmine. The oak is neatly integrated here, and it retains fine focus. The palate is well balanced with a smooth opening. Lightly spiced with just a bit of alcohol, this is initially controlled and focused toward the finish, and yet the alcohol begins to make its mark after 15-20 minutes, eventually obscuring the terroir. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

Rich and demonstrative, the 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of orchard fruits, peach, nutmeg, orange oil and fresh bread. Full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's deep and concentrated, with a fleshy core of fruit, lively acids and a long, saline finish. This is an unusually broad-shouldered but beautifully balanced Corton-Charlemagne from Bouchard.
