The 2022 Chardonnay Sweetwater Vineyard has complex aromas ranging from peach and apricot to new oak spice, baklava and meringue. The light-bodied palate is silky and delicately styled with perfumed flavors, linear acidity and a long, expressive finish.

The 2022 Chardonnay Sweetwater is a youthful yellow/green-tinged hue with a light haze. (All these wines are unfiltered, but for most you don’t see it.) Made entirely from Wente, the wine is aromatic with notes of Meyer lemon, fresh flowers, golden apples, wet stone, and saline. Full-bodied, it has a more structured feel, with pithy ripe citrus and notes of almond on the finish. It’s approachable and very appealing now, but it’s also going to hold up well over the coming 10 or so years.
