The 2018 Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Cour is a plush, generous wine. The presence of clay in these granitic soils yields a Beaujolais endowed with tremendous presence and breadth. Red berry fruit, blood orange, spice and floral notes all develop as the wine starts to open up. This east-facing site is protected from the elements, which helps preserve freshness that works so well in balancing the wine’s natural resonance.
