Note di degustazione
(25 hectoliters per hectare): Dark red with ruby highlights. Very ripe aromas of crushed blackberry, violet and licorice pastille are lifted by pepper and menthol elements. Then sweet and spicy in the mouth, showing a slightly jammy ripeness I did not notice in the previous samples. A strong black cherry flavor is accented by mint. Finishes with fat, ripe tannins that spread out to saturate the palate. Meunier planned to bottle this rather tender fruit bomb early, perhaps in January.

The 2013 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots, matured in 50% new oak, has a similar bouquet to the les Fleurières, but here the fruit is one of Confuron’s few that nudges more toward the red side of the fruit spectrum. The palate is silky smooth on the entry with a fine line of acidity. There is ample freshness here, a "buxom" Vosne endowed with sensuality and purity on the finish.
