Note di degustazione
The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Chezeaux has a beautiful nose with fresh red cherry and bergamot scents, lovely definition here and good vigor. The palate is silky smooth with fine acidity, harmonious, refined with impressive substance on the finish. This is a very refined Gevrey-Chambertin that should drink well over the next ten years or so.

Good medium red. Sappy aromas of black cherry, black raspberry and sexy oak. Less sharply delineated than the Clos Solon but more refined in texture, with dark cherry and berry flavors complicated by a gamey quality. In a distinctly feminine style.
South of village, planted 1928 just below Mazoyères. 12,000 vines/ha. Rich, almost jammy on the nose. Very sweet and round – perhaps a bit less energetic than some but sturdy and with lots of pleasure. A pretty sweet style. (JR)
