2000 Far Niente Dolce Late Harvest

(for 375 ml. ; an 89/11 blend of semillon and sauvignon blanc) Full, deep gold. High-toned aromas of honey, apricot, orange peel, caramel, toffee, marzipan and damp earth. Very sweet and lively, with moderately complex apricot, marzipan and nutty oak flavors brightened by sound acidity. Finishes with a slightly aggressive bitter edge.
