2010 Giovanni Manzone Barolo Castelletto

A lifted, aromatic Barolo, the 2010 Barolo Castelletto graces the palate with sweet rose petals, cinnamon, mint, small red berries, licorice and anise. This is another floral, perfumed Barolo that brings together grace and power, all in an attractive, mid-weight style that is highly appealing. The firm, incisive tannins could use another few years to soften, but there is plenty to admire, even at this early stage.
