Note di degustazione
The 2015 Amiral de Beychevelle has quite a ripe and opulent bouquet, with hints of cassis and iodine and fine purity. The palate is medium-bodied and plush in style, displaying black fruit laced with pencil shavings. In this bottle, I detected a little alcoholic warmth on the finish, hence my prudent score. Tasted at the Beychevelle old vintage dinner at the estate.

The 2015 Amiral de Beychevelle has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and gives expressive kirsch, blackcurrant jelly, raspberry coulis and pencil lead notions with a waft of Provence herbs. Medium-bodied, the palate has lovely freshness and a chewy frame supporting the red and black fruit layers, finishing earthy.
Tasted blind. Rather intense and introvert. Drying finish. Tannins just too pronounced and the finish too drying to convince this taster about its future. Acidity dominates too. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

With greater care in the vineyard and more precision in the winery, Ch. Beychevelle's star is rising. That's in large part due to the leadership of Philippe Blanc and investment by current owners, Japanese brewers Suntory and French wine group Castel.
