2006 Domaine La Bouïssière Vacqueyras La Ponche

Inky purple. Smoky blackberry and blueberry scents are deepened by vanilla and mocha, with a gentle licorice quality arriving with air. Lush and sweet, offering dense cherry-cola and vanilla bean flavors and a jolt of zesty minerals on the close. Showing a good dose of oak today, but there appears to be the depth of fruit to handle it.
