The 1999 Puligny-Montrachet La Truffiere reveals beguiling earth and floral aromas. Medium-bodied, elegant, and focused, it is a silky-textured, pure, and rich wine. Flowers, anise, and crisp pears can be found throughout its flavor profile, as well as in its long finish. This wine will require some cellaring, as its sulphur level appears high.
