Note di degustazione
Tasted at the Denis Mortet Chambertin vertical, the 2008 Chambertin Grand Cru has a really quite lovely nose that is so pure and perhaps it represents the first Chambertin from Arnaud Mortet that unequivocally exudes terroir expression. In a nutshell - this just smells of Chambertin - it takes the taster there. The palate is medium-bodied with pastille-like purity, a fine-boned Chambertin with black cherries and subtle cassis notes, sorbet fresh towards the long and sensual finish. This is an excellent Chambertin that I envisage will come into its own with another 4-5 years in bottle. Tasted January 2016.

(malo finished in September) Good dark red. Medicinal black fruits, iron, minerals and menthol on the nose. Sweet and juicy but youthfully imploded; the most delicate of these 2008s but also powerful and tightly wound. Spreads out impressively on the long, rising finish. Undeniably sweet but this will need extended bottle aging.
