Note di degustazione
Straw yellow colored, the 1985 Riesling Clos Ste Hune offers a very clear, precise and intense bouquet of stewed white peaches, crushed stones and floral aromas with a touch of caramel. Highly elegant, dense and round on the palate, this is a very intense, firmly structured, and tension-filled wine of great balance and length. Gorgeous!

Pale bright yellow. Aromas of peach, grapefruit and pineapple, along with a sake-like saline quality. Compellingly youthful and juicy on the palate, with petrol and crushed stone notes lifted by mint and grapefruit zest. I've seen reports of advanced bottles of this vintage, but my bottle was pale in color and had plenty of positive evolution ahead of it. Impressively long and brisk on the aftertaste.
Pale greenish tinge – same colour as the 1998 in fact, despite its age. Some kerosene/petrol on the nose of this product of a cool vintage that was Pierre Trimbach's first. Quite restrained. Very delicate. Very clean finish. Lime flavours and lots of acidity. (JR)
