Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2025-2042, Neal Martin, Feb 2023

The 2019 Moulin Saint-Georges has a focused, liquorice-tinged bouquet, cedar and tobacco, touches of mint emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a little dry, feeling quite linear and strict towards the finish. Biding its time? It just needs to show a little more flair. I expected more. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Tasted blind. Rich and lively. With lots of interest, energy, juice and great balance. Confident and exuberant. (JR)

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2025-2055, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2022

The 2019 Moulin St Georges has turned out brilliantly, offering up aromas of cherries, wild berries, violets, sweet spices and raw cocoa, followed by a medium to full-bodied, bright and vibrant palate, with a concentrated core of fruit, tangy acids and beautifully refined tannins. From a seven-hectare, west-facing vineyard opposite Ausone that always ripens some 10 days later than Ausone itself, Moulin St Georges has come into its own in this warm, dry vintage, delivering a wine of notable energy and finesse.

Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2026-2050, Neal Martin, Feb 2022

The 2019 Moulin Saint-Georges has lilting bouquet of raspberry preserve, cranberry and light undergrowth scents that gain intensity with aeration. A touch of orange pith emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied, taut and fresh, with supple tannins and a fine-grained, quite cohesive finish. There is a little more sophistication and elegance embroidered into this Saint-Émilion than recent vintages.
