Note di degustazione
The 2014 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese * displays a pretty "Bugundian" bouquet with some discreet new oak aromas framing the ripe and fine Riesling flavors. However, this is another style at the first sight, but the complexity, purity and finesse are also evident and will come out even better in 6-8 years. This is a very elegant, long and refined Spätlese with a very fine tannin structure and a long, pure finish. This wine is great with food.

Ripe pear and quince are wreathed in heliotrope and lily-of-the-valley (if also in some post-fermentative yeastiness) for a head-turning aromatic display that anticipates the subtly creamy, lusciously fruity midpalate display, strikingly shot through with inner-mouth perfume. Hints of vanilla cream and root beer lend a slightly confectionary aura to the long, soothing finish, an impression tempered by the wine’s restrained sweetness.
