2002 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese AP 14

It would be hard to go far beyond the quality or intensity of Haag's non-auction Spatlese, but this manages to achieve something very different, a creamy melange of lightly caramelized orchard fruits, still concentrated in minerality but with the acids sublimated and a broad carpet of flavors and soothing texture in the finish. 2 stars.
