1999 Royal Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos Mezes Maly Single Vineyard

Tawny/copper colour, this single vineyard marvel with 9% alcohol (if my notes are to be believed), 12.9 g/l TA and 235 g/l RS ie almost a quarter of the volume is made up of sugar . The nose is slightly reminiscent of dusty velour and macerated raisins. The acidity really is a knockout! There are strong dried apricots here and that apple skin aroma too. It is such a baby... only 2,000 bottles made. One to lay down for the next generation? (JR)
