Note di degustazione
Powerful, magnificent, complex and rich, with generous black cherry, curran t and vanilla aromas and flavors shining through the tough tannins, turning a bit chocolatey on the finish. Has everything it needs to age classically . Best after 1996. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1989

The 1986 has a deep ruby/garnet color, and a spicy bouquet of toasty new oak, rich, plummy fruit, and minerals. This is followed by a wine that is full bodied and intense, with impressive extract, and tremendous power and persistence in its finish. It does not have the opulence or precocious appeal of vintages such as 1990, 1989, or 1982, yet it has reached full maturity. It is a firmer, structured, more Medoc-styled La Dominique. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Last tasted 11/95. Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book, 3rd Edition # B1
