Note di degustazione
More lifted blue fruits, violets, Asian spices, chocolate, and spring flower notes emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Caldwell Vineyard. All varietal sourced from a site in the cooler Coombsville appellation of Napa Valley, it’s another incredible wine from this label. With full-bodied richness, the hallmark purity and elegance of the 2018 vintage, solid mid-palate depth, and a great, great finish, it opens up nicely with time in the glass and is an incredibly impressive Cabernet Sauvignon. It will benefit for 2-4 years of bottle age and evolve for upwards of two decades.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Caldwell Vineyard is outrageous. Inky red fruit, dried herbs, rose petal, coffee and iron all emerge from a Cabernet that captures all of the magic of Coombsville. This intense yet mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon is truly lights out. The 2018 is a blend taken from three blocks. I hope to have a chance to see how it ages. In a word: impressive.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Caldwell Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color and open-knit, ready-for-business scents of blackberry pie, stewed plums and warm cassis with suggestions of menthol, chocolate box, cedar chest and clove oil. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers mouth-filling, juicy black fruits and loads of mineral sparks, framed by ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and with wonderful purity.
