2019 Riesling Durnsteiner Kellerbeg Smaragd

The 2019 Ried Kellerberg Riesling Smaragd shows a beautifully ripe and aromatic Muscat aroma in the beginning but also the deep and flinty complexity of the cooler, southeast-facing part of Pichler’s terraced Kellerberg that is close to the forest. Round, lush and intense, again with super aromatic fruit aromas (peaches, passion fruit), amazing finesse and salty crystallinity, this is one of the most fascinating Kellerberg Rieslings I have had. Absolutely adorable in its freshness, elegance and perfect fruit ripeness. A Must Buy for Wachau fans. 13.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in June 2021.
