2013 Buckeye Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Buckeye Vineyard from Howell Mountain is from a highly regarded site in this AVA. The wine reveals loads of mulberry and plum, sweet cherry, a touch more minerality and earth, also full-bodied opulence, which seems to be the hallmark of the winemaking in Pena. This is, again, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon with a dense ruby/purple color. Delicious now, it is capable of lasting 15 or more years.
