Bright, deep red. Sappy aromas of medicinal cherry, plum and spiced bread. Lush, seamless and intense, with sweet dark fruit flavors energized by powerful minerality and limestone lift. In a distinctly virile style, this wine saturates the palate on the very long, sappy finish. I'd give it seven or eight years in the cellar.

Bright crimson. Intense nose with lots of acidity. Silky and just a little bit raw. Dry finish. Just a tad lacking in juice but very pure. Sucky-stony finish. (JR)
Good full red. Very pure aromas of raspberry and rose petal. Dense and fat but juicy, with chewy flavors of red berries, spices and smoky minerals. Lovely complete wine, made from a clay-rich hillside site with rock less than a foot under the surface.
