2022 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Kabinett Auction AP 1

Predominantly sourced in the steep Nikolaus Lay with its ancient, ungrafted vines, the 2022 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Kabinett (Versteigerung) opens with a deep, precise and flinty, coolish and complex but also brighter and maybe even more intense nose compared to the regular Domprobst (AP 03). Lush and round on the palate, this is a crystalline, saline and highly stimulating Kabinett with great finesse and elegance and a mouth-watering finish. This is utterly complex but light and alluringly stimulating. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023 (AP 01 23).
