The Saar Riesling may only be an estate wine, but the nose alone, with its exhilarating fragrance of orchard on a cool stream, reflects the unique character of Riesling from the Saar River valley. Slender and crunchy on the palate, it does not just taste of the fleshy fruit of apple, peach and apricot, but also kernel, stone and peel, which provide the finish with a particular piquancy all of its own.
