Note di degustazione
The 2019 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge is a classic Fort Ross-Seaview wine. Time has softened some of the contours, and yet the 2019 remains so young. Apricot, lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers and floral-infused honey caress the palate. The 2019 is viscous in texture, and the coastal energy of this site is never far away. What a gorgeous wine it is.

Aromas of eucalyptus, straw and warm citrus. Medium-bodied with a lot of freshness and citrus zip. Very crisp and refreshing. Some subtle nuance with more grounded, savory notes. Sage and rosemary. Drink now or hold.
The 2019 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge is cut from the same cloth with its impeccable purity and balance. Lots of honeyed citrus, lime, and pear notes as well as some subtle spice and nuttiness give way to a medium-bodied, fresh, focused Chardonnay that has notable acidity and a great finish. It's slightly more inward and reserved than the appellation release and might have a slightly longer drink window, but I find both Chardonnays to be sensational.
The 2019 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge is a wine of breadth, with a real feeling of density that just builds over time. Crushed rocks, savory herbs, apricot and tangerine oil all open, but it is the wine's textural intensity that steals the show. The Camp Meeting Ridge Chardonnay is not an immediate, easygoing wine, rather it demands time and patience. Two thousand nineteen is the first vintage in which the wine is primarily aged in neutral puncheon as opposed to smaller barriques. This is an especially savory, structured style.
