2019 Domaine du Bouchot Pouilly-Fume Vitae

Full bottle 1,170 g. Certified biodynamic now and biodynamically grown since the 1980s – the first biodynamic estate of the appellation. Grown on Kimmeridgian marl. Deep greenish straw. Very intense indeed on the nose. Not especially aromatic but really dense and complex. Very unlike the average Pouilly-Fumé with its combination of richness and tension. Tastes as though yields were pretty low. An exciting discovery. (JR)
