Good ruby-red. Reduced nose hints at sappy black cherry and dark chocolate. Fat, sweet and rich, showing more breadth today than real lift on the palate. A bit massive and chocolatey, on the verge of heavy. This fruit may have been picked a bit too late.

Plums, black cherries, black tea, moss, coriander and mace scent the Potel 2005 Vosne Romanee Les Suchots. In the mouth, this delivers bitter-sweet floral notes and rich folds of fruit underlain by fine tannin with forest floor and stone.
