This wine displays rich, earthy, and mocha cream scents as well as a full-bodied, ample, lively, structured, juicy, and extremely well-balanced personality. Its complex flavor profile is composed of red and black cherries, minerals, toast, and beef blood whose flavors linger throughout its long and refined finish. Projected maturity: 2002-2009. Excellent deep color. Roasted black raspberry and a reduced hint of animal fur on the nose. Firmly built and juicy; lean and still rather closed in on itself. But long and classy on the subtle finish, which features firm but not excessive tannins.
