Note di degustazione
The 2022 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard comes from Swan and Calera clone fruit and was fermented with around 30% whole clusters. It has pure, complex aromas of brambly fruit, Earl Grey tea leaves, woodsmoke, dried flowers and spice. The palate is powerful and energetic with tremendously concentrated, detailed flavors. It’s structured by velvety tannins and vibrant acidity and has a very long, seamless finish. It opens dramatically with time in the glass and should be long lived in the cellar.

Coming from the western edge of the Russian River Valley at 900 feet elevation, the 2022 Pinot Noir UV Lucky Well Vineyard is in Silver Eagle on Stoetz Ridge, which straddles the ridgeline with both east- and west-facing exposition. The wine displays a bright ruby hue and is wild and expressive on the nose, with notes of bright spices, wild strawberries, and incense. The palate is focused, elegant, and pure, with super-fine tannins, even, fresh acidity, and a long-lasting finish. It has fantastic texture, and while it’s drinking beautifully now, it will continue to drink well for 15 or more years.
