2019 Thierry et Pascale Matrot Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrieres

The 2019 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has an intense nose, although I find more terroir expression in the La Combette or the Meursault Charmes. Maybe this was just going through a dumb phase of its élevage. The palate is fresh and vibrant with impressive depth. Quality is stacked on the finish, which is extremely well defined and demonstrates enormous length. I suspect that the aromatics will open once this is in bottle and given adequate aging.
