Moosbrugger's 2016 Grüner Veltliner Tradition is intensely yellow in its color and offers a deep and elegant bouquet with perfectly ripe fruit. Lush and very elegant on the palate, this is a juicy, intense and powerful, pretty rich Vetliner with a slightly bitter finish that needs time to find its balance. However, this doesn't fascinate me as much as former vintages. Tasted in Vienna, September 2018.

Tons of candied citrus of all types and an exciting balance of mature fruit with subtle tannins, creaminess and acidity that lifts the long, powerful and layered finish. Matured for 18 months in large, neutral oak, as was the norm 50-100 years ago. Drink or hold.
