2019 Clemens Busch Pündericher Marienburg Falkenlay Riesling GG

The 2019 Marienburg GG Falkenlay is rich and intense yet fine and very elegant on the delicate and subtle nose that is reminiscent of bacon-wrapped figs and concentrated, super ripe, if not overripe Riesling berries. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, this is a powerful yet elegant and even refined Falkenlay with a quite baroque expression this year. This was bottled a day before I tasted it at the domain in September 2020.
