Note di degustazione
Saturated bright, deep red. Sappy black cherry, wild herbs, tea leaf and exotic spices on the complex but subdued nose. Broad, rich, deep and classically dry, with a saline character contributing to the impression of density and extract. Very complete but backward Richebourg with a lovely rising aftertaste featuring well-buffered, ripe tannins.

This is the spiciest wine in the range and quite ripe as well with notes of menthol, anise and red berry fruit liqueur among a wide range of other spice tones. There is outstanding volume to the muscular and overtly powerful big-bodied flavors that brim with a fine minerality on the explosively long, palate staining and moderately austere finish. Despite all the size, weight and muscle though, this also remains impeccably well-balanced. This is brilliant. Tasted: Jan 14, 2013. Drink: 2028+
