Note di degustazione
Here there is enough reduction to mask the nuances of the underlying fruit so I would suggest giving this some air first. Much like the Pucelles there is a suave and succulent mouthfeel to the medium weight flavors that are more tightly wound on the sappy, tension-filled and strikingly persistent finale. This is unusually well-detailed and while it's not exactly chiseled, it is certainly nicely delineated.

Unwinding in the glass with aromas of pear, green apples, toasted bread and white flowers, framed by a subtle touch of reduction, Pernot's 2019 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is full-bodied, layered and enveloping, with a rich, fleshy profile, underpinned by lively acids. It's already very expressive.
Two plots, one of, which continues down the rows from Bâtard-Montrachet. Pale lemon and lime, slightly nutty nose. On the heat up front, power of white fruit, shows the weight of grand cru, but it is on the heavy side of heady. Concentrated, but chunky.
