2013 Royal Tokaji Aszú Gold Label 6 Puttonyos

The 2013 Tokaji Gold Label 6-Puttonyos has a much more potent bouquet than the Blue Label, resinous and with touches of truffle oil complementing the honeyed fruit. The very pure, viscous palate presents a fine line of acidity and flavors of brioche and almond. There is a Sauternes-like quality here, veins of grapefruit and peach infusing the creamy-textured fruit, although I would like more persistence on the finish.
