2017 Memento Mori Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard was aged for 22 months in French oak, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs a little coaxing to reveal stewed blackberries, plum preserves and warm cassis notes with touches of new leather, unsmoked cigars and spice cake. Medium to full-bodied and firm, the palate is nicely taut and laden with black fruit preserves framed by ripe, approachable tannins, finishing with spicy layers and lingering savory notes. 100 cases were made.
