Note di degustazione
This vineyard was planted in 1995 by Gary Franscioni and Gary Pisoni. Medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard is shy on the nose at first, opening slowly to red fruit sparks over a core of dense black fruit with classic notes of tobacco leaf, cola, woodsmoke and violet hints. Medium to full-bodied, it's dense and concentrated in the mouth with tons of dark, savory fruits and floral notions. It has ripe, tight-grained tannins and wonderful freshness to energize the dense, layered finish. 750 cases produced.

Dark, bright-rimmed red. Powerful, smoke-accented red berry preserve, cherry-cola and floral oil aromas show very good clarity and pick up exotic spice and vanilla notes with air. The spiciness here suggests to me that a lot of clusters are in play but it's only 5%. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated raspberry, cherry liqueur, spicecake, rose pastille and mocha flavors and a touch of smoky minerality. Weighty yet surprisingly graceful in style, finishing extremely long, with solid thrust, sneaky tannins and lingering florality.
Completely destemmed, the 2017 Pinot Noir Garys’ Vineyard has a beautiful fruit-forward character as well as notes of bright cherries, raspberries, flowers, and vanilla bean. It’s another medium to full-bodied, seamless wine in the lineup that has outstanding balance as well as length. Drink it any time over the coming 7-8 years.
