Note di degustazione
Blockier and even more textural than this year's Bienvenues, the 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru unwinds in the glass with notes of oranges, peaches, ripe pears, white flowers, wheat toast and smoke. Full-bodied, rich and powerful, it's thick and muscular, with considerable concentration, lively acids despite its size, and a long, resonant finish.

The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru comprises three barrels this year, one new. It has a wonderful bouquet, extremely well defined with scents of crushed stone permeating the green apple and citrus aromas. This gains complexity with just a couple of swirls. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, more saline than the Bienvenue with a sappy and persistent finish. Impressive classicism here considering the warmth of the summer.
