Quite dark ruby. Tarry/mineral nose with lots of ripe fruit and a certain mintiness. Sweet start but then it rather fades on the palate. There's a bit of a hole in the middle. Rather drying finish, chewy, grainy tannins. Very solid and chewy. (JR)
