Note di degustazione
Aszú grapes 60% Furmint, 30% Hárslevelű, 10% Zéta, macerated in base wine and must of Furmint and Hárslevel ű. A warm dry summer was followed by botrytis-inducing rains and then a dry sunny October that shrivelled the grapes. A strong botrytis vintage. RS 146 g/l, TA 9.9 g/l. Dark reddish tawny. Middling vintage. Edgy, dried fruits. Good current drink with herbal quality – minty? Very refreshing. Still lots to chew on. Undertow of dried apricots. I could imagine this with a not-too-sweet chocolate dish. Pure and fine. (JR)

Crême caramel notes suggestive of Sauternes. Quince and honey in the mouth. Sweetness drops away nicely in the finish but, again, this leaves an oddly alkaline bitterness in the back. Fortunately, based on more recent wines, this characteristic seems to be a phenomenon of the past.
