Note di degustazione
62% Grenache, 38% Syrah. TA 5.34 g/l, pH 3.7, RS < 1 g/l. From a winery in Lagrasse. Organic and biodynamic practices – Ecocert. 20- to 50-year-old vines. Hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel, hand punchdown, free-run juice only. Swiss owner with a French winemaker named Benjamin (friends visited the winery and between their non-existent French and his basic English managed to work out that the place is quite new and that they are building a tasting room, restaurant and gte rooms.) 9,500 bottles. Generous dark fruit on the nose, almost like blackcurrant toffee. Opulently ripe luscious fruit, so sweet that it borderlines on jamminess, and the tannins have practically melted into it. More of a pudding than a wine although it does have very good balance in terms of length and freshness, considering all the sweetness and alcohol. Plump and ample and profusely eager to charm. It's just not for burgundy lovers! (TC)
