I'm a big fan of Domaine Belargus, and great to see it a little more freely available via BBR. Having said that, this 'entry-level' Anjou Chenin Blanc seems less riveting than the previous vintage I tried. I suspect the bottle may not have been quite 100%. The acidity dominates without a lot of additional complexity. Perhaps this needs time. (AWH)

Domaine Belargus rocketed to fame after receiving a perfect score for one of its very first releases. The Anjou estate was created in 2018 by French financier Ivan Massonnat and is dedicated to celebrating the special terroirs of this special corner of the Loire through the lens of Chenin Blanc.
