Invitingly smoky/mineral nose. Coiled like the proverbial tight spring and so much drier tasting than some of these 2012 Spätlesen. Acidity is so fresh it seems almost peppery. Lovely dry impression in the mouth even though there's plenty of sweetness. (JH)
