Punteggio 18.5/20 · Da bere 2009-2015, Jancis Robinson MW, Sep 2006

It was the 2004 vintage of this that I showed at the MW Symposium in Napa as an example of wine quality. More reticent nose than the Kirchspiel at present but denser palate, with even some dark notes among the mangoes and earthy mineral notes. Wait quite a while for this one and you won’t be disappointed. If you choose one wine to prove to someone that dry German Riesling can be great, choose a Keller. (JR)

Heady, opulent nose – one almost drowns in something like fully-open lilies. The most intense of these three and the least open. This one hides its undoubted depths. Great length and very linear – one strong backbone and line of flavour throughout the tasting experience. Massive. But clean as whistle. Almost more like a Montrachet in build than anything I can remember from Germany. Still chewable. A wine that cries out to be decanted. (JR)
